The need for ongoing COVID-19 compliance in your dialysis clinic.

The UK is making great strides to combat COVID-19. New cases of infection are much lower than at the height of the last wave, due to the effects of lock-down and the successful vaccination programme. The government is unlocking society in stages, and may elect to remove all community based restrictions in July.

However, I would like to inform you that the infection control measures in place within your dialysis clinic will continue beyond July and until further notice. This is because of the concerns about Covid variants, the fact that not all patients are vaccinated, and the vulnerability of people with renal failure to Covid infection.

Therefore, the stringent infection control measures in your Diaverum clinic will remain in place until it is safe to relax them. Our staff will continue to work hard to implement these special measures. Thank you very much for doing your part to help with this, and I want to appeal for your ongoing adherence to the rules.

Specifically, please ensure that you:
- Wear a face mask while travelling to and from the clinic, and while in the clinic.
- Comply with the social distancing rules.
- Carry out strict hand hygiene.
- Provide full and honest information during the triage process.

Thank you very much for your understanding and active support.
