We are delighted to announce that our Lewisham Dialysis Centre has been awarded an overall rating of OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This is the second Diaverum clinic in as many months to receive this accolade.

As well as being rated Outstanding overall, the service was given the highest possible scores for being effective and well-led.

The inspection also found that:

- There were enough staff to care for patients and keep them safe.
- Staff were focused on patients’ needs and understood how to apply the service’s visions and values to their roles.
- Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, and they respected their dignity and privacy.
- People could access the service when they needed without long waits.
- Leaders ran the service well and staff felt supported, respected and valued.
- Managers monitored the effectiveness of the service, ensured all staff received mandatory training and were competent for their roles.
- Succession planning was embedded in the service, and development opportunities for staff were encouraged and supported.

According to Lisa Akeroyd, Managing Director "This is a real testament of all the great work the team does every single day. Being rated Outstanding is a national recognition of the high quality service we provide to our patients, and is something that all our staff can be proud of."

Lewisham Dialysis Centre is operated by Diaverum, in partnership with Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, with 26 staff providing life-enhancing renal care to 102 patients.
